"CENTRAL COAST WINERY VISITS: JULY 2016;
BRUCE LEISEROWITZ, WINE BERSERKERS, AUGUST 2nd, 2016

"Richard Longoria is one of the “old school” winemakers in the Central Coast, and he has been producing wines under the Longoria Wines label since 1982. Although Mr. Longoria produces wines from different varietals, he is probably best known for his Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs."

"SPOTLIGHT ON: LONGORIA WINES;
DAVID MINSKY, SANTA MARIA SUN, JULY 27th, 2016

"Longoria Wines has been a first at a lot of things. It was one of the first wineries to move into Lompoc, one of the first in Los Olivos to have a tasting room, and one of the first to leave the Wine Ghetto in Lompoc. Now, it's the first commercial business in Lompoc to have an electric car charging station for Tesla cars. Trendsetters? Perhaps. But the new addition to their tasting room only adds to Longoria's philosophy on sustainability."

"PONDERING PINOTS"
ERIC ASIMOV, THE NEW YORK TIMES, MARCH 10TH, 2009

"I wouldn’t call Rick Longoria’s wines light. They are sizeable, yet dry and well-shaped. I especially like his pinot noirs from his own Fe Ciega Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills, for their distinctive, dry, black cherry and sage flavors."

"THE FACES OF LOMPOC WINE"
GEORGIA FREEDMAN, SAVEUR MAGAZINE, ISSUE #118, MARCH 2009

"Rick Longoria could be called the accidental founding father of the Lompoc Wine Ghetto. Back in the spring of 1998, he planted his first vineyard, Fe Ciega, on a slope in the Santa Rita Hills, when he began contemplating the difficulties of getting the grapes from the fairly remote location, on the narrow and winding Santa Rosa Road to the Santa Ynez Valley, where most wineries in the area were located."

"9 SANTA BARBARA COUNTY WINES YOU MUST TASTE IN 2009 (OR BEFORE YOU DIE)"
DENNIS SCHAEFER, SANTA BARBARA NEWS PRESS, JANUARY 1ST, 2009

2006 Longoria Blues Cuvée, Number Three Out of Nine
"Rick Longoria has been making this proprietary blended wine, with an emphasis on Cabernet Franc, since 1993. It has evolved over the years to become the best red wine he can make, showcasing his considerable blending skills. A fragrant nose of red cherry and spice gives way to red and blues fruits, sandalwood, herbs and vanilla. My wife (this wine is her fave) pulled out a 1996 Blues Cuvée last weekend to go with the balsamic and herb roasted pork loin. Superb! The Blues Cuvée ages fantastically well." -Dennis Schaefer
